CONROE – Montgomery County Hospital District is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Mike DePasquale as Associate Medical Director for MCHD Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

Dr. DePasquale will assist MCHD Medical Director Dr. Casey Patrick with the medical oversight of MCHD’s nearly 300 Paramedics and EMTs. The Medical Directors ensure the guidelines and protocols set by the clinical department are upheld on each ambulance that serves Montgomery County on a daily basis. Dr. DePasquale will also serve as Associate Medical Director for Montgomery County’s 13 Fire Departments.

“Dr. DePasquale is a special find given his vast experience in EMS as a whole,” said Dr. Patrick, MCHD Medical Director. “His experience as a field paramedic and an emergency physician brings new insight to the role. His passion for technology in EMS will help push MCHD where we need to be in the future.”

Dr. DePasquale was born and raised in New York City before completing his bachelor’s degree in Video Game Design & Development from the Rochester Institute of Technology. During his time at RIT, he also obtained his New York State Paramedic certification and worked as a full-time Paramedic for several years before receiving his MD from The State University of New York Upstate Medical University in 2020. Dr. DePasquale then completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at Indiana University in 2023, before completing fellowship training in EMS at IU in 2024. His interests are in innovative integration of technology within EMS and utilization of pre-hospital ultrasound. Dr. DePasquale and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Montgomery, TX. They have two children, Giovanni and Isabella.

“I’m thrilled to join the team as the Associate Medical Director for such a progressive and forward-thinking service,” said Dr. DePasquale. “MCHD EMS is known as one of the highest-functioning services in the nation, and I hope to bring my knowledge and experience to the team and continue to push the standard of pre-hospital medicine to the highest degree on behalf of Montgomery County residents who’ve come to expect the best from MCHD.”
